EXMOUTH CALLS FOR CONSCIOUS TRAVEL IN 2025 TOP TOURISM TOWN AWARDS

Exmouth proudly announces its participation in the 2025 Top Tourism Town Awards, marking a significant step in promoting sustainable and responsible tourism. After achieving unprecedented success, including three consecutive Gold wins in Western Australia, induction into the Tourism Council Western Australia Hall of Fame, and two National Gold awards as Australia’s Top Tourism Town (population under 5,000), Exmouth is once again showcasing its unique charm and commitment, while highlighting the need of environmental preservation.

 

This year’s submission is a heartfelt call to action, urging travellers to explore the wonders of Ningaloo consciously and responsibly. The Shire of Exmouth is emphasising the importance of planning ahead and securing bookings before arrival, ensuring a seamless and sustainable experience for both visitors and the local environment.

 

The 2025 submission highlights Exmouth’s dedication to sustainable tourism practices, showcasing initiatives aimed at minimising environmental impact and recognising the region’s natural wonders. By encouraging pre-booked travel, the Shire aims to manage visitor numbers effectively, ensuring the delicate balance between tourism and conservation is maintained.

 

The Shire of Exmouth’s participation in the 2025 Top Tourism Town Awards is a testament to its ongoing commitment to sustainable tourism and its dedication to preserving the natural beauty of the Ningaloo region, and it actively encourages locals and visitors to participate in the Top Tourism Town Awards voting process, joining the collective effort to champion responsible tourism.

 

Consumer voting opens today and continues until 5pm on Thursday, May 1. This voting will be promoted by Tourism WA, Visitor Centres WA and RAC WA.
